Mumbai police on Tuesday registered an FIR towards Shiv Sena’s Thane district unit chief Kedar Dighe for threatening a 23-year-old girl who was allegedly raped by his buddy at a lodge 5 stars in Decrease Parel.
Dighe was appointed district chief simply three days in the past by Uddhav Thackeray.
The case is registered within the NM Joshi Marg Police Division towards Dighe and his buddy, Rohit Kapoor. “We now have acquired a grievance and have registered a lawsuit towards Dighe. We now have not arrested the accused but,” mentioned a senior IPS official.
The incident is claimed to have taken place late on July 28 at a five-star lodge in Decrease Parel. Police say the lady labored as a salesman within the lodge and he or she approached Kapoor to promote membership memberships whereas he was eating there.
The girl then alleges that Kapoor raped her when she went to his room to gather the examine.
“She confided in her buddy, who then went to see Kapoor at his lodge room on Monday when Dighe allegedly gave her cash to not file a police grievance after which threatened her with severe penalties,” the official mentioned.
Kedar Dighe can also be the grandson of the late Sena strongman, Anand Dighe.
